Thailand on Tuesday announced plans to provide a bracelet that contains personal data to the tourist, after the royal guests failed to provide security, in connection with the murder of two British travelers. In the scheme, hotels are required to distribute wristband for arriving guests.
"If something happened to them, we kill know the name, nationality and their hotel," Said a Director General at the Ministry of Tourism, Arnuparp Gaesornsuwan.
We have discussed it with the hotel operator and they are willing to do, we will not ask for personal information the guests, just a list of the fields that they have given to the immigration card, added him.
Police said the security measures that tourism will be voluntary. "If they (tourism) drunk and feel asleep on the beach, we could bring them back to the hotel," said police commander tourism, Apichai Ti-armataya.
He added, that the plan will be implemented 'immediately' on demand tourist areas like islands of Koh Phangan and Koh Tao and Pattaya beach.
And hopefully, by the government of Thailand that could actually happen, so that no criminal acts against tourist who visit to Thailand.
